2012 - 2024 A GALLERY OF OUR LEGACY

Pictures speak a thousand words, browse our Young Engineer of the Year galleries by year, or by theme to get a feel for the various STEM-based activities we’ve engaged in. Aspiring young engineers have built and electric kit cars, pitched Gadget Show vs. Dragon’s Den, taken selfies in space, created Lego robots, battled robots and challenged classtronauts to experiment in space… click the album below to browse our snapshots, awards brochures and video footage.

Young racing teams coming together, building, prepping and testing their cars for the upcoming Ultimate Race Day, Mallory Park, September 2024.
Classtronauts competed with Space Balloons to conduct stratospheric science experiments. All those watching from below had very high expectations of our potential young engineers.
Students mastered electronic circuitry, developed their bot’s defence systems and took their builds confidently forward to the Robot Rivalry final.
Inspired by Greenpower Education Trust’s Formula 24 competition, schools designed, tested and raced electric cars towards the chequered flag.
The famous building blocks took on new life, as 24 schools designed and built Lego robots. The bots then battled it out to decide who became the YEOTY.
The rise and rise of the selfie rose to new heights, as our teams were challenged to capture a selfie in space. Students from 23 schools launched space balloons and posed for the cosmic cameras.
The Gadget Show met Dragon’s Den, as students pitched their 3D print ideas to a discerning panel of judges.
Year Ten students from 18 schools designed and built electric kit cars. The competition culminated in a race day extravaganza at Darley Moor.
YEOTY first clocked on with a Clock Project. 1,754 students participated and their impressive clocks were display at The Potteries Museum and Art Gallery.
